after the revolution

after the revolution

A band called Pulp does a song entitled "The Day After The Revolution" and though I don't think in song titles as often these days, I can't help but think of that song when I see this photo of an empty street at night with clouds like smoke in the distance.

The dust has settled,
replaces the bulbs in all the lights.
I guess I'll get no sleep tonight.
A revolution happened.
Oh, sorry, you haven't heard?
We are the children of the new world.
~Jarvis Cocker/Pulp, The Day After the Revolution
