Cop Drama shows have been a fixture of television literally for decades. I used to just take that for granted, but recently I've started to wonder what the fascination is with seeing murders, rapes and crime scenes scrutinized and analyzed in such excruciating detail. What is the cultural fascination with violence? Do we want to be the police officers or the criminals?
