guinness tastes better in ireland
I've been told recently, and also overheard a conversation, that guinness tastes better in Ireland. I happen to like dark beer in general including guinness, and I enjoy the flavour of it in Canada, but it's true that it does taste different and a little better in Ireland. I remember drinking a guinness at the massive factory in Dublin whilst looking at this view over the city. The factory is a tourist attraction and it's almost a theme park for beer, which is pretty awesome. The day we were there, there was a U2 concert in Croke Park, so they were playing only U2 music, including some strange and obscure remixes of Even Better Than The Real Thing. If the guinness we get in Canada is the real thing, the stuff you get in Ireland really is even better than the real thing. I'm not sure if U2 is better in Ireland though, because the concert was sold out and even the scalpers on the streets didn't have any tickets.
